I heard Whites might be coming out with a new pinpointer around Christmas has anybody heard anything?

There was some talking on a new metal detector don't know about a new pin-pointer but it would be nice since the minelab was a total fiasco.

Yes Minelab's was a copy of Garretts was to be better but not as good.............We will see what Whites has .... Better than Garretts or not as good......

Yes I heard from someone at White's that the new pinpointer will be made offshore and for sale by Christmas. Don't know anything about it tho.

I know I know, I don't like the concept of the outsourcing one bit. But on the other hand can you tell me a cell phone that isn't made in china?
Not the same with detectors, the good ones are made in USA or Europe, and Australia. But a whites pinpointer would be nice if it was made in USA.

I don't consider that made in USA, I would say assembled in USA. Companies are always trying to pull that, they even use 100% made in USA, which should really read 100% assembled in the USA.

I have done this myself, replied to posts several years old with out looking at the dates. Sometimes a thread will come alive again though with new info.

I have been tracking it for a release date since Feb. (2013). All Whites is saying is that when they are ready to release it, they will. Rumor has it that the new one looks just like the old one, just different insides. The holdup on the release has something to do with the housing I understand. After a 6 mo. delay you'd think they would let the customers know something. I got tired of waiting and bought a Garrett's PP.
