Hello to all from Virginia -for now...

For years I would go treasure hunting with my late grandfather with his old MD. Now as an adult I have my own detector, and two great private locations. A water-front property in Virginia, and 26 acres in Vermont. Earlier today I made my first post to TNet of my most recent find at the farmhouse. Hoping someone can help identify and date my old axe head. The farmhouse was built in the 1790's. There is also an old foundation on the property where I made the find, about 8-10 inches down.

Moving back to Vermont in the coming months, with high hopes for more big finds. Thanks to all in advance for any help identifying any artifacts I find, and I hope to help identify other members loot.

-The Jake

Welcome aboard! That's a nice old hand forge axe, I am curious of the vintage.
