Well here we go again.
Snow is finally melting after lots of rain.
Had some, if not sun, at least not rainy spells today so went hunting.
First hit the high school. Glad I wore rubber boots. Get a signal and pull a plug, water fills up the hole. Found 2 cents. Great.
Next a grade school where I really cleaned up. 11 cents and a gold brooch about the circumference of a penny labeled 14k but hollow. Maybe the weight of a toothpick.
Next a local park where I found a pair stainless steel tweezers on the ground. Oh, and a tube of mascara.
No coins but did find competition there. A young boy maybe 7 yrs. old with a funny looking thing. I asked and he said he was metal detecting. He had a plastic machine labeled National Geographic with 2 lights on it.
I showed him a pull-tab and it beeped. He also found a penny 1/2" deep where I showed him. No wonder I cannot find anything.
So far 3 hunts = 13 cents and some very small gold. Normal like last year. LOL
