In that first pic, is that a giant pull tab in the back left corner? :)

Sure it is more fun to find stuff in your own yard, but anything old to me tells a story and is intriguing.

As far as where to start in a new yard, I think you did it just right, mix it up dig some strong coin signals, dig some iron, probably no right, or wrong, answer.

Lol, u mean the very thing in the way back ( lol, I talk backwards ... I td u that before .. My " very" is in a dumb place in my sentence) anyway, the thing off the white lid? It's 3 foot long... One big ass pull tab;)

Now that's getting creative with your pennies.. Lol. The only one of the 3 in that pic that never quite figured out was the chisel looking one.. You'd have to see the side view... I found an exact replica on some site, but I don't think they quite knew either . It was found near all the tractor parts in my yard.
Like a chisel, wide. It looks like the tool the horse shoe guys use to remove the old shoe. Frank... swan  700.jpg
