Those are awesome I found a big fist sized piece of quartz in the woods totally out of place. Great finds!!!!!@!!!!!

Think it's pretty unusual to find that in a coal mine. Older bedrock or maybe intrusion. Nice crystals...

I don't know if they're real smokey quartz, but some have a dark tint. My son pried them out of the walls of the coal mine, I don't think they fit together. He found a pocket of them in the " top rock " of the tunnel.
