Not where I wanted to be, so I requested something special.

Sunday forecast is for rain, again! So today is hunt day, and not in the place I wanted to hunt. Had to make do with a new school close by. Not finding much, 2 zincs. so I request "please can I find something special"? Then the detector starts to constantly chatter...now what? Maybe an underground power line?
Had to move on to a different place. Not there....not there either, ok I'll try here, the embankment around a soccer field.
Detector is working fine. I find the usual clad, odd trash and some odd coins.
What looked like an odd lumpy coin at first turned out to be my "special" request...an angel!
These are my finds
Here is the angel and odd coins, plus a 1918 wheat which has been in the ground for a while.

I agree with P clamp as I retired from the Telco after 34 years service and have also used many of them. It's not worth anything unless it is an early copper one. Then it is only good for copper scrap.

A M- we had a good down pour so I'm hoping!

Garrett- yes I haven't heard that name in quite a while.

Back of the boat- it did read as nickel, I will have to clean it a little more to see if it has a makers mark, I think it does.

OBN- yep! I now have my own special angel!

Johncoho- I just scraped the side, it is copper, a little $$ back from MA Bell after all these years! Lol!

Treb- Thanks! Yep! And the angel will be accompanying me on my next hunt....I need all the help I can get!

There may have been a church there once or the dirt was hauled in from were a church stood. The thing in the loop, top right is an organ reed. I have found them at old church sites before. Cool stuff
