Hey, keep working with the scanner...it's already a better image than the cell phone... unfortunately I can now see that it appears to be a rather ordinary piece of quartzite. It appears to be much too thick to be a triangular point as previously mentioned. Triangular points were "true" arrowheads.. and to be so they had to be relatively thin in order to be hafted (effectively) to an arrow shaft. The majority of triangular points you will see will be pretty thin.. like say the thickness at most, of two half dollars stacked on one another. The majority of those will be, on the basal end where it was hafted, not much more if any than one half dollar in thickness. I'm not even sure if it's a piece of flaking debetage- quartz often times doesn't show flaking scars and/or modification in general really well. It may or may not be but my guess is no.
