My student found this button on playground. I have researched but cannot find anything like it. Please help! It is flat and not sure of metal. 35CAB6AC-60E8-47EA-A535-217D346BDD4E.jpeg 35CAB6AC-60E8-47EA-A535-217D346BDD4E.jpeg D524DBC0-5BB0-408C-AD55-F0BF9A752BC1.jpeg 909DDB6E-AE3E-4AE6-A868-6676A717F7AA.jpeg

I've found what looks like could be the right seal, Venezuela The button looks fairly old but this version of the coat of arms was adopted in the 1950's it says on wikipedia. Its interesting, haven't seen one before.

mbcuce, Great ID.
When I first saw the title and first pic, I got excited.
Knowing Darien's long and varied history and not knowing pucky about early buttons, I'm thinking some sort of late 1600 early 1700 button.
Then you come along and stick a pin in my balloon with this modern Venezuelan thing.
Wonder how that button got there.
Was is from an off the rack coat imported from there, worn by a kid for school photo day?

2nd - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Tbellew! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Yeah, this definitely isn't what I thought it would be when I started looking. Thought it was old. Not even sure how I stumbled on Venezuelan seal. The two cornucopia were the only recognizable things on the seal so i started there.
