Lots of Mercs back then and all the way up to the 90s where just on holiday, make a few bucks while on holiday from their day job. These days at best is anti poaching, and even that is mostly volunteer, not really money to be made unless they are there under a program or are working for the gov, but even for the gov it is very limited funds. Programs are low funded too and a small staff, but they still have plenty of fun. Really, when most folks go or went over to play it was not all about money, its just fun. hunting a poacher can be plenty fun, but hunting slavers is far more fun and flat out hilarious once they get wounded enough for the slaves to deal with them how they see fit. Slaves get very creative.
That would be s bad way to go. But well deserved. Guess some got the old Mandela necklace?
Wonder what the life expectancy of a Merc is lol.
If you had no ties and your only skills were killing that might be a fun kind of life. No frontiers left in America.
