Played for a while today in the spot I have cleaned up and in the new weeds a little bit. Not one silver coin today. The only gold I found probably should have been thrown back to grow up also.

Never found a religious medal in a package before. I did find a silver ring once in a plastic bag and a plastic bag of clad but not a small envelope with a silver plated anything inside. It is old but not sterling.

The ring is 1.61 grams of 14K. That brings me to 34 rings and two bridges. The other ring is aluminum. Five wheat's, the oldest is 1913D. Nothing too exciting today. However, I did find some more dock posts out there and I think I am getting closer to figuring out where most things were on one end of the H. I guess I will never know for sure. Still haven't hit another hot spot but they are hiding out there somewhere.

Congratulations on yet another good day. Nice gold and an interesting St. Christopher's medal.

still a good hunt - I have a buckle like your sail boat one
i'll take gold in any size shape or form now a days

Well done SD. Welcome to the "no silver coins for you" hunt. I frequently go on this type of hunt, it's sort of a lifestyle for me.

I like the gold ring, looks old and hand engraved.

Best of luck to you sir!

Great hunt Scuba, the monogrammed gold ring is an oldie and nice shape. Your St. Christopher token was in a plastic pocket sleeve, so it fell out of a pocket long ago. Who plays with a hinged ruler at the beach, carpenter's kids? Sub 8-)

Thanks all. I knew it was a ruler with the lines on it and rotted wood sticking out of it.

I have a plan for the very thick muck. I bought a toy last winter and I am going to take it out and try it.

For those that might not know what it is, it is an underwater scooter. However, if a person turns it around it will blast water towards what you aim it at like a fan blasting air. I was thinking that it would work after I got a signal for a swim buckle or another big piece of brass. No idea if I can hold it steady enough or long enough to make some muck dissapear but I thought about trying it. I actually bought it for muck on drop offs in a few lakes that I play in. However, I have been concentrating on this spot this summer. It is closer to my house although about 65 miles away.

Can't hurt to try the toy. Probably tomorrow.

Sweet finds, GOLD!

Somewhere around here I have that same exact medal and it was in that same exact yellowed plastic/vinyl sleeve.

I found it inside an old wallet years ago.

Nice finds!

Congratz on a nice hunt!

Congratualtions on the Gold rings, assorted jewelry, coins and relics! :occasion14:

Love your toy let us know how it works out for you.

Hello ScubaDetector. Nice bunch of finds. I especially like the St Christopher medal...hmmm...maybe I should take up water hunting. Thanks for the post and Good Luck. C9

Things won't stay slow with you for long. You still had a great hunt and took home some gold.
