My wife is a dental assistant and tells me it is called a veneer cap. In some cultures it is a status symbol, could be African with the markings on the teeth being of some unknown significance.

That is a very interesting find. I would save it and possibly trade it in for the silver value. How could you lose your teeth and not look for it, especially something that probably cost a lot.
