Night and day! Both are good machines, but the DFX is more versatile while the MXT has 3 modes only. There are many other differences too. Suggest you visit Whites web site.

Price, LOL! Sandman already said it but, the DFX has many controls you can tweak if you are into that, the MXT is more of a turn on and go machine. I have an XLT and have found that I don't care to much for playing with the controls and tweaking, I'm more suited to an MXT. There are many different coils for the machines as well. I would suggest the MXT and buy a few extra coils with the money you save over the DFX. HH, Mike
