I wanted to share with the members my review/opinion of the new DetectorPro
Pistol PROBE Pinpointer.

I received it in the mail this past Saturday. I gave it the first TEST on Sunday.

This pinpointer is "EVERTHING" that the manufacturer says it is!! "NO HYPE"

This is simply a pinpointer/metal detector in my opinion. I have a White's DFX
and what a combination. Simply stated: I hunted a school yard and a park
for about one hour. I found (11) coins and (1) token.

The pinpointer was able to identify the target by placing the end of the probe
(61/2") long on the ground where the detector indicated the target was located.
Depth was not a problem at all. Found targets as deep as at least 6". (Trash
targets also). You just move the pinpointer around the target site until you hear
the loudest, strongest signal, then go straight down into the ground with your
digging tool and lift up. The target pops right up. No need to make a large dig,
or misjudge the location of the target. Every target I dug you "WERE NOT" able
to see that I had ever been there. The pinpointer hits the spot, right on the nose.
I never hit or damaged a target. With this pinpointer you do not have to be as
exact with your metal detector pinpointer. Just get main signal, sit down the
detector and use "pistol probe" to determine exact location of target.

In my opinion, "DetectorPro" has hit a "HOME RUN" with this new pinpointer.
I have used other pinpointers (Not to mention names) over the years, and
nothing I have used compares to the "Pistol Probe". I gave it a good test,
even on trash targets to check depth, and it performs just as manufacturer
claims it will.

It is larger than other pinpointers because it runs on two (2) 9volt batteries.
Lots of power. So much, you have to back the threshold down just alittle.
Nice carry holster that comes with it.

One word of advise; holster kind of gives the appearance of a handgun holster.
Pinpointer has somewhat of that type of appearance as well. The public these
days are funny, so just be AWARE. I'm a former Highway Patrolman so I just
want the members to be informed of my opinion. I personally have no issues
with it "AT ALL", however, I recognize not all states and communities are the
same.

According to the manufacturer, whom I have talked with (I'm NOT A DEALER)
stated that these pinpointers are available only in "LIMITED QUANITIES" at
this time as they were just released to the public last week.

If you would like more information, feel free to (PM) me.

This probe is a Pulse Induction unit.Tthis mfg'r states that it will go 6"deep.I know blklab as a honest individual and he told me he did not want to put the depth in his writeup but he said he knows it went deeper than 6".Ground conditions may alter this a little??,but it appears to be a super pinpointer. It comes with a holster.I'm anxcious to try one.

My pistol probe arrived yesterday just as it started to rain.
Wifey,me and our dog went to the park and hit the tot lot.

Pistol Probe is everything they claim but I did notice some falsing when I used it in my left hand.
Removed my tungsten carbide wedding band and it works fine.

This probe is much better than my auto m@x four.

Just curious can you adjust the sensitivity so that it doesn't detect so deep? This sounds like a stupid question because who would want too but I have my reasons.

Thanks,
Bill
