Saturday's Shocker

Went out yesterday never expecting to find something like this. I dug it at 11 inches and thought I had found my first large cent. Washed it off with a little water and then I didn't know what I had. Once I got home I found it was what I believe to be a King George III. There is no visible date but if anyone has any info on this coin I would appreciate it.

Re: Saturday's Shocker

I can't help on that but it's a very good find no matter what condition it's in.
I would be happy to find one. roger

Re: Saturday's Shocker

Can't tell the size, but looks like a 1806/07 Halfpenny (only made this type for those years)

Re: Saturday's Shocker

Should be 29mm if a halfpenny.

Re: Saturday's Shocker

I can see the six, so its definately 1806.
