Ooops.... Sorry to mislead everyone....

Not exactly Iowa, although I thought of pretending...you know, protect your spot :laughing7:

But, truthfully... I should have said Iowa Hill Rd, in good ol Colfax, Ca..... NF of the American River....
Have also prospected around Yankee Jim's Rd.

Might be biased, but some of the best country there is.....

I love that little place I used to live there, and would visit that place often they just started the little mine tunnel and you couldn't touch the guns back then.

Multi million dollar redo with a HUGE underground mine now, interactive exhibits, righteous gold nugget species, worlds most expensive coins CC mint mark and ALL years there gold and silver. A triple beam balance scale you could weigh your family on and on and on and on. Railroad museum was closed but threw back a couple a shots at the bucket a blood saloon in VC. You lived there also?? From 78-83 in Dayton ,was such a great little ol'town in the day,now--not so much-John

Nice work mu50stang! Some pretty big pieces for glacial gold, you must be getting it right in a big way! How heavy is that big picker?

That was from last year. I had gotten pretty lucky to find that spot. The bigger piece weighed around .7 grams. Not huge, but for Indiana I felt like I hit the jackpot.
