Sleepy's Most Wanted (Roosevelt Dimes)

After having searched through $7,110 worth of dimes, I figured I'd get a Whitman Coin book (1946-1964 Dimes). I'm going to make it my goal to fill it by the end of the year! To the right is my "Most Wanted" List to help keep track of my progress. I want all of my finds to be from CRHing, so I won't be purchasing any of them. Here goes nothing! :headbang: 1)1955

This is the NEW (and improved) Most Wanted List which is based on the estimated number of Silver FDRs left in Circulation I've been working on here: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/coin-roll-hunting/368595-probability-statistics-us-dime-nerds.html

I guess, either way you slice it, I still need 16 more to complete the set...but at least this way, I'm happy! :sunny:

Box 1: 1936 King George V Canadian Dime (80% Ag) :hello2:
Box 2: 1964D

Kinda feel like MIhunter today getting one of these Canadian coins, eh? Okay, so maybe it's not breaking any http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/coin-roll-hunting/278691-dimes-9.html#post2914768 records anytime soon, but it's my first Canadian Silver Dime and it couldn't have come in a better fashion. When I saw the rim, I thought it had a pretty good chance of being a MERC, but this is even better in my opinion. Looks like only 2.46M minted, too. When I got into Box 2, I found this coin that looked very yellow like gold and I thought maybe I might have found some crazy mexican gold coin or something. It turned out to be that '64D with an awkward amount of yellow toning. After that KGV, I was thinking anything was possible! :laughing7:

Sleepy. I have a confession. Older Canadian coins like that. To me. Are like finding a seated dime. They're SO COOL. :notworthy:

Today I found my #6 count-down rosie, 1950-S :headbang:. Last time I found #7 was on May 12th, just three months ago. That coin was 1949-S.
So I now I have five more to go. This pace is a little bit agonizing. It means that I need searching for another 15 months for the last five.:BangHead:

Oh wow! That great news to hear. That 1950-S is a tough one to find. Maybe you can get another one down this month...sometimes it just hits like that. Well, it's down to the final five for you. I'll try to catch up a little! :tongue3:

That is a sweet Canadian dime. I was looking through some of the coins that I got back in change when I was about 5 or 6 years old before I was collecting. I have a big bag of Canadian and other foreign coins I kept because I thought they were neat. It turned out I kept a 1942 silver canadian. It is my oldest canadian dime. Happy hunting!

You just found that last night?? That's awesome! Congrats on discovering the silver you already had...haha. My oldest Canadian Dime prior to this was a 1968...clad! It's a devastator when you see that coin fly up to the magnet!

Yeah, I was looking through them last night. I had totally forgotten about them. I also had a 1968 Canadian quarter in the bag, but sadly it stuck to the magnet. It isn't the prettiest dime ever, but it is the oldest one I have.

Very nice, Hunter. I think it's really cool how one great find led to another. Looks like you've already got it in a 2x2 and everything. Congrats again on the find!
