Small Gold Coins

My father found them on our property with the metal detector. Both coins were the same, they looked exactly like the American 20 dollar gold pieces but at a size smaller then a penny. I sold one and I am still in possession of the other. The discovery of said coins brought about more of my inner treasure hunter and I hope to find more cool items. I'll keep you posted if I do.

By your description it would have to be a Two and a Half dollar Liberty head gold coin.
How did you sell it and not know what it was.
They were a low minted coin and a good one can fetch a good price.

This is the smallest version of that particular coin. Pretty weird that it looks silver and not gold at all in color. I think even with the crappiest quality phone you could probably pick up the gold color at least? Maybe I'm wrong for I haven't found a gold coin!
