did about an avg of 2 nickel boxes a day with 2 or 1 boxes of pennies mixed in.

walked away with 7 buffalo nickels.
one XF war nickel... and 15 other war nickels.
one 1878 shield nickel
a 1938 D jefferson

150 pre 1950 jeffersons

a 1937 centavos

a reject tray italian coin 1922 in very nice condition

10 KGVI cents

500+ wheaties

one blank planchet

3 IHC oldest 1880

couple steel cents

and too many canadian cents and nickels to count:)

very good finds!

how many of the dark edges actually were war nickels? Can you spot them to some degree of certainty just like 40%'s after a while? I've never worked nickels so I have no frame of ref.

Great pile of wheaties also!

first roll was a 37D ... 4 legs lol. the next was a 1937 centavos. kinda ironic. but only 2 of the others in those rolls were war nickels

thank you for all the information! it was a really good week and i've found a few more firsts! todayy hopefully i can get some nickel boxes and hit a few more good finds!

Lets see some close up pictures on that shield nickel. From what I understand in 1878 only 2350 proof shield nickels were minted, none were minted for circulation that year. Weather or not that is a 1878 you have been really successful with your finds.

the only two numbers i can see are 7 and 8 on the nickel. the 18 is totally gone
i'll try and get a pic up tonight
