South Carolina Militia beltplate?

Dug this buckle today at an old homesite in South Carolina. The signal rang out like the old furniture hardware that I'd been digging in the area and I almost got careless with my hole. Can anyone help identify this plate and add more info as to rarity etc.?

Your Belt Plate is a circa 1840 die stamped Militia Waist Belt Plate. The Affixed S C were Silvered. It has a Rarity of 7. You can see a pic on pg. 390 of Plates and Buckles of the American Military 1795-1874 by Sydney C. Kerksis. Hope this info Helps. trk5capt...

Nice plate. Seems to be in good shape also. I could get that thing cleaned nice. But certain things are better left alone. You can tell it would clean well.
