My dad smashed his finger so hard today, that he cut himself to the bone near his fingertip. I had to take him to the ER, and because of the Virus, I had to stay in the car. He's okay, it took five stitches. As an expert finger-cutter, I can attest to the throbbing pain he keeps remarking about.

Hey Idahodutch
What’s going on?

Hey rook & Bill,
Just been putzing around the back yard.
Had a squirrel go to one of our blueberry bushes, and started digging.
Chased him off, and went to see what he was after.
It was a peach pit, but it had sprouted. We found a spot for it, dug a hole, and planted it at the same depth that the squirrel did. A couple days later, BAM. We got another peach tree.
I sent most of yesterday putting in a nice ring of rock around it and dressed it all out.
I saw where maybe just a couple more rocks would really even it out, and where I saw ones that would work.
By the time a got back over to the brand new tree, (about 1-1/2 minutes later), one of my chickens had just snapped it off about 1/8" above grade.
I was really pissed. Said HEY Flo (her name) and some other stuff, squinched my face all up like gollum from Hobbit trying to guess a riddle, and finished my fit with an Aarrrrrgggg. I'm over it now, that was yesterday.

How bout you guys?

My wife said to leave it, maybe it will still grow.
So we'll see. Not holding my breath though.

It turns out Flo was good eating . . . just kidding. She makes good eggs.

I also do blueberries. Just checked the one closest to the home place today. Coming on strong. We’ve had a cooler spring than normal so that’s helped.
