I missed it bill....I was working on the yacht when the find was made....possible 16th century hand operated bilge pump from our wreck.

Well managed to rescue the cat I've been feeding this morning. It went pretty smoothly but since she's a stray we're trying to keep her quarantened until the vet treats her for fleas, etc so don't want them spreading to our other cat.

Now for the fun part she scooted out of the computer room and is hiding somewhere in the house.... Did you ever try to find a cat that's hiding in a 3 story house.

Years ago I was seeing this chick (heh)...

First time I spent the night with her after a hard night of drinking...

I am awakened by what sounds like full on morning movements ... lights on... clanging ... can opener running etc...

I look at he clock and its like 3 am...

I get up and walk out in the kitchen and there she is dishing out cat food from a can...

I am like "what's up ? you couldn't sleep" ?

She begins to explain that the cat was hungry and when the cat meows se gets up and feeds it no matter when.

I then say "that's ridiculous the cat has TRAINED her" and if it were my cat and it woke me up in the middle of the night to eat... It would be an outside cat.

Needless to say... She would never stay over at my place BECAUSE she "had to go home to feed the cat".

And I never stayed at her place again due to the cats spoiledness.

This cat was huge... fat... fluffy... and had the personality of a log.

And the damn thing was not friendly... EVEN to HER !

And yet further needlessly to say...

It didn't work out.

Well we found her wedged behind a bed in the basement....guess she crawled in and got stuck.... In any event she's back in the computer room and she's kneeding and purring so she's happy and settling in.

She has a real sweet temperament so that's a plus.

Nice work bill....hope it all works out for the best.

Bill nice cat rescue. We have a long haired brown one around here, can't get near it. Been homeless for a few years now. We put food out, all we can do. Animal control has been around but don't think it's for the cat.

Yep, same here but the cold stuff is coming. I know bill is laughin. I hate the cold the older I get.

About the same for us, mid 50's for a high. Tuesday night is when the deep freeze sets in....16 then not above freezing for a day or two. Break out the long johns, electric blanket, and your favorite shaggy llama, gonna be cold!
