Y'all get this, our satellite dish is covered with snow and we are getting no reception. The mister suggested I just shimmy up a ladder and spray windshield washer all over the thing. This is why people get D-I-V-O-R-C-E-D. :tongue3: Stay warm y'all and most important, stay home!

Started out as snow and now some 17 hours its coming on harder than ever. Supposed to end in another 12 hours. I haven't heard a vehicle out on the state highway, 1/2 mile away YET.

30" and climbing.

We got off light. Just 6" of snow here and calling for just 1-2" more throughout the day.

Watching FOX, Gov Cuomo has just banned road travel as of 2:30 today in NYC.

Well, way up this holler I created a few spots last night. Today I had to stay closer to the basement door!

Do you have tire chains?? Sometimes out here where I live, we would be out sledding and tubing and would have to chain up to get out!! Four wheel drive vehicles, just chain up the front axle. Cable chains work real good, better and easier to put on, than the old solid set chains....just a thought.:dontknow:

"Just a thought" that I'll take care of if I ever get out of here! Thanks for the reminder, remember that from my childhood - long forgotten memories until you mentioned it!

Thanks :)

Wow, you guys got nailed!
You got what we usually get.
So far we have what looks like 3"....figures I was prepared for feet!
But then it's not over yet, it will go till morning. The wind is still whipping around tho.
I made chilli and corn bread, wood stove is going, extra wood inside. One of those is an anti-snow charm....chilli maybe?:what:

Are you folks back there getting powder snow or kinda wet snow?? If it's wet snow, you should be thinkin' about shoveling off your roof! If you don't normally get snow, your roof is probably not built for snow load, like where I live. If it gets about a foot deep on your roof, that is something to be concerned about!! I sure hope you folks don't get any collapsed roofs....

January 23, we in Connecticut receive about 18 inches wet snow and a lot of wind. Be out in the real world in April or May.
