I went out this morning to a old home site for about 2hrs. It was pretty chilly dow here in Georgia so I bundled up and took off. The house site is only about 2 miles from my house so I was there i no time!!! My first find was a 1962 canadian penny.. I thought this strange, but those things show up ever where in the US. After about 15 minutes of silence, I got a great tone from my tesero Golden Sabre Plus, and I knew it was a coin. About 4 inches down, out pops a 1917 Merc. I aslo recovered a few wheats from the 30's-50's. Heading to what I thought was the back of the house,( Turned out to be the front) I got a great signal, After cutting a plug, I saw a weird looking button/thingy not sure what it is. It is oval in shape, I have attached a few pics of the front and back. A few feet away, I found what looks like to be a slotted spoon head at 4-5 inches. Thats all for now, HH everyone. Sorry if the pics are bad!!!

The little button thing, it is probably from a piece of military canvas pouch. It was originally kind of squished to grab on the canvas like a grommet, then it fit over a little brass post on the other piece. I have seen them on ammo pouches, the canvas cover on my hatchet that goes onto a web belt.

Any Idea of the age? I also found a three ringer not to far form this. There is alot of CW stuff left in the ground around here. I'm getting permission to hunt a church that was used as a CW hospitalback in the day, So I hope to find some more Stuff.
