Hi Mike,

Welcome to Tnet!
There's a number of things going on here, you'll need to sort it out, yourself...

There is no substitute for blind luck!
Some people are just that way.

I'd say you've been fortunate to have spent time at the beach. R & R is a good thing!

Next best thing to luck is persistence.
If your coil doesn't pass over it, you can't retrieve it!

Think back on the time you've spent at the beach and where you have hunted in relationship to the activity.
Adjust your search pattern.

Valuables are generally lost due to carelessness.
Perhaps a flurry of volleyball activity up on the dry, or splashing in the wet.
(Cold fingers from the water allow a ring to slip off.)

Most locals have learned to leave money and jewelry home...
Tourists are more likely to be in jewelry wearing mode, and probably wear better jewelry.

Have fun!

The coins do add up....even though it seems it will take a decade... Keep going.

Yesterday, I went out for about an hour around an old lake park. The ones that have the concrete tables and bench seats.... All my detector could hear was shredded aluminum and tin foil...

I did find 3 cents.... One was an 80's , one was in the 70's and hit by a lawnmower blade, the last one was a wheatie... 1919-P....

Some days, I'm just grateful for the little things...

Bill
