Delta Omega or Delta over Omega.

Delta Omega has been an honorary society in public health for 100 years (1924-2024) but I doubt that's what you're looking for.

Wikipedia has a page of Greek alphabet symbols and their meanings. I might start there, plugging in various meanings to see if any make sense in this context.

One of the first things I'd want to rule out is whether those carvings are just graffiti; some "Greeks" (frat boys) leaving their "Kilroy was here" or something like that... Are there any institutions of higher learning nearby (within 100 miles) that may have fraternities, etc. (national or local) with those letters?

FWIW.... I did not peruse the Garrett book, but I did skim through the symbols. I didn't see any that I recognized to be Greek alphabet, but I did recognize a few alchemical symbols. (Probably not relevant here.) I should also note that my alchemical reference is geared more toward Homeopathy than treasure hunting or transmutation.

I don't believe in treasure signs . and can't recall anyone ever showing a REAL treasure on here that was located by signs.
Most carved symbols on rocks likely have something to do with property boundaries, legal mining locations or township surveys. Next most likely source is graffiti - all kinds of these by hikers, hunters, hippies, lovers, cowboys, homesteaders, settlers, trail blazers, etc. People like to push the "Spanish treasure signs", "Kings Code", and other lost mine/buried treasure lore found in books, magazines and internet posts too, but this is mostly fantasy. IMO, lots of it pushed by the KGC stories which gained impetus in the 1930s.

That said, are there genuine carved "treasure signs" on rocks? I'd say yes, but the meanings were/are proprietary and only known by whomever carved them. Does it make any sense that you can buy a book that reveals these types of valuable secrets?

upon closer review, is there a small hole under the symbols? Also do you think the rock has been moved or seem like it's permanent location?

I don’t think there is a hole under the symbols...I do think the rock has been moved from its original location. I will be going back there next week to investigate the rock, the area around it, and the top of the mountain it is on..I will post more pictures after I go
