It is, but they will reopen, rehire when elective and non life threatening, non elective procedures are allowed again. I did read about the Michigan hospitals and they are doing that due to not being able to bill for those type of surgeries during this pandemic. Those are completely For Profit, Investor Hospitals. Sad It Is.

But...but...how can they do that while millions are dying!

People all over the world are fighting hospitals right now because their loved ones who died of natural causes are getting a covid-19 tacked on to their death certificates.
Take a look at the stats for places hit hard....number of deaths from other causes have plummeted and are being added to the covid pile.
Gotta have the numbers if you want to generate mass fear!

also they are increasing Testing, As long as they increase Testing Numbers will Increase. Even if New cases are Decreasing

This thing has IMO been here long before first case.

ALSO... IMO... This is a type of flu... a flu they don't have a vaccine for... this is what prompted this.

Nature is... and will... "run its course"... and now all we can do / we are in "mitigation" / "damage control" modes now.

The World in its entirety let alone a nation should have expected this... and been better prepared for this almost guaranteed possibility... now turned reality.

Almost seems like closing down society as a whole was and is a wise choice...temporarily anyway... but as far as the economics /economy...

the "cost" of such a action... begs the question... and is apparent now... Can we or cant we... "afford" it.

Which is a greater "loss" is what it seems to be on the scales... life or liberty...

Seems this is not "new" on the scales of human thought.

I'm still seeing on here that people are refusing to wear masks or social distance as they think it's nonsense and nobody around here has it. Well guess what - it will get there sooner than you think. Maybe it's there and just hasn't hit anyone hard yet and there are just a lot of carriers. Those carriers are going to get others sick without knowing it. The carrier/asymptomatic person who is breezing through their days going here and there while not even knowing that the person they spoke to in passing just a simple "Hi" 2 weeks ago is now in the hospital fighting for their life! Even if it's just a few people in your area that end up in the hospital guess who is sitting there with really no choice but the nurses, doctors and staff along with the EMTs who first responded. They are risking their lives all because you don't want to wear a mask! Save the "liberty" speeches and think of others! That is the true meaning of freedom - the freedom to give to others, care for others, take care of others!
