Smittyman, Todd Lipe and I met on the bad side of town for breakfast on Saturday morning. We hit a couple of spots without much luck. Smittyman decided to call it a day, so Todd and I headed to one of our usual haunts.

I was lucky enough to find a '41 Merc in one of my holes. I don't know how it got in there, as NONE of the other hundreds of holes that I dug had one in it! It was really nice to see the silver disc stuck to the bottom of the plug.

I was also able to score a couple of marbles, they were very deep and barely audible... just a little peep...

The last stop of the day was an old school. I managed to score the Moby Dick charm there. It's a recent drop, but silver none the less.

YTD silver coin # 67.

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!

A fun hunt with two silver items dug,but now I would love to know how to identify the sound a marble makes when a detectorist swings past it.In many years of ground searching I pocketed a bucket load of them and never got a peep from one.
