If I'd stayed indoors today, after this past winter. I would've just busted!

So, not really feeling like fighting crowds, trash or digging too deeply. I chose a "new" out of the way
park I found. The weather was perfect and I had the entire area to myself the whole time!

My goodness! What a nice day! The finds? So so:

2015 (277).jpg
2015 (278).jpg

And as always, I found a couple things that kept it interesting.
Don't know what they are, found in two separate areas. :dontknow:

2015 (279).jpg

Fishy has another new toy.

2015 (280).jpg

Blingie's chosen this piece, but, what is/was it?? :dontknow:

It's a strange little thing. I thought it might be a referee's flip coin but
both sides are the same.

2015 (281).jpg

It's convex in shape.

2015 (282).jpg

Both sides the same, solid, non-magnetic, no hint of any mounting mechanisms, weighs in at a hefty 17 grams. :dontknow:

Anyone?

Anyway, one of those stellar days! The finds, not so much but still very enjoyable day!

Thanks for peeking!

Whadi, My mystical powers of deduction bring you these revelations...The silver colored disc is what is left of a "volleyball" pendant. I found a brass one recently, same pattern. (Soccer balls have hexagonal pattern.) The brass things are broken off of two spring clips, common on flagpole attachments, dog leashes, etc... Great hunt, congrats. I found another modern .58 caliber minie ball at a local school today, and I was like, "WTF, who is shooting or dropping these here!" Sub 8-)

I thought volleyball too, just didn't fit the park. But, how was this pendant attached? I don't see anywhere apparent on this one. :icon_scratch:

It may have been mounted in a bezel at one time, or is just a "good luck" pocket token? In our parks, folks have been known to rig a volleyball net between anything standing, i.e., lamp posts, trees, etc... Glad you had a good hunt, I shall try again tomorrow to dredge precious metals from the stingy earth...Sub :laughing7:

Congrats on getting out. That's something that just hasn't happened for me in several days now. I may as well have gone back to work lol.

Not at all! Indeed, I think you're right. It's a charm, just a big one. Subby mentioned a possible bezel. That makes the most sense.

In any case, a rather fun find. Can you imagine what I thought as it came into view? LOL

Nice finds! Congrats! Those two are happy it's all good!

Maybe the charm fits into a bezel like scrappy said but maybe part of a key chain thus larger.
I found the clip with out the springy thing in it! Lol! Maybe we can make a whole one! Lol!

I braved up and went to the tot lot in a large park very early. There was trouble there last week.
Man, I have forgotten how easy it is digging in wood chips! I will post pics in a while.
