Feels great to have a sunburn on my face from yesterdays sunny & 60 degree digs.
today brings 30 degrees & snow.
Called off todays hunt.
got some pix that didn't make yesterdays post,
Iron first, a double bitted Axehead (which read 2-36 on my Etrac :icon_scratch:
I don't think it's bronze age :laughing7: )
& horseshoe, anyone know what the other item is ?
found near a well.
Brass & Copper next, here's over $70 scrap, that big one's about 25 pounds.
Last a whatsit, leather with thin copper sheet, horse armor ???
found near collapsed 19th century barn.
Thanks for looking & HH to all :icon_sunny:

I feel your pain Herbie. We broke records up here the other day for warm temps, and now its snowing. I hate March. To me it's one of the worst month's up here. :(

Pretty sure your last pic is whats left of a head gasket from a flathead engine.

Your iron whatzit could be the "thing" you hang a pot on and swing it in and out of the fireplace.

The assortment of relics still amazes me Herbie. When you go hunting, I 'm sure you never know what centuries will be represented in your finds. Very nice. Any Skeeters up there? HH, Quindy.
