Feels great to have a sunburn on my face from yesterdays sunny & 60 degree digs.
today brings 30 degrees & snow.
Called off todays hunt.
got some pix that didn't make yesterdays post,
Iron first, a double bitted Axehead (which read 2-36 on my Etrac
I don't think it's bronze age )
& horseshoe, anyone know what the other item is ?
found near a well.
Brass & Copper next, here's over $70 scrap, that big one's about 25 pounds.
Last a whatsit, leather with thin copper sheet, horse armor
found near collapsed 19th century barn.

I have dug those gaskeyts too, not knowing what they were. Good to know now.

Nice relics...I stayed indoors yesterday...supposed to snow again here wednesday night,gotta wait for the snow to melt some more.The only good part is i get better signals when the fields are wet.
