It is electric. Doesnt appear to have visible markings. But havent tried to take it apart yet. Again thank you for any kind of help

I would like to thank everyone for the help given. Now i have another mind boggler for me. It is a coin that says republica mexicana on one side and8r go 1835 p j 10 ds20 gs on the other. Sorry about the lousy photos in advance. Any info on what it might be worth would be great. Thank you

Your lamp is often referred to as a "Gone With The Wind" lamp. Many older kerosene lamps were converted to electric also, just a little food for thought. Yours is not a Fostoria lamp, but it is a parlor or hurricane lamp. Nice 8 reales coin too.
