Found this today while artifact hunting. Not sure what it is. It is all shaped and pecked. Anyone know what it is.

Looks kinda like a small pestle, but they would show more use on the bottom, never seen anything quite like it.

What is the object composed of? Is the object pecked or simply eroded by the elements? Where was it found? Was it found in a field that's been plowed for 50 or 100 years?

It was found in a field that I always find all my artifacts in. It is made of a heavier stone and it is covered in small peck marks and is shaped like an hour glass.

JMO it looks like a small pestel that the end was broken and has been hit by the plow a few times.
