When your kid says he knows a good place to hunt ..... Pay Attention ! Silver !

This is one of those I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself stories .
My 9 year old was wanting to go detecting today , and I just wasn't up to it . I was looking forward to getting caught up on some rest and not fighting ticks and brush . He told me we ought to go in the woods by my driveway where a bunch of rocks are .
He thought there may have been an old homesite near there . I knew where he was talking about but it appears just to be a rocky section of the woods , not man made piles . So I had zero hopes of finding anything at all but decided to go to make him happy since it was 300 yards from the house .

Within 3 minutes of swinging the coil , I get a nickel signal and out pops my first V nickel a 1910 . A few inches away I pulled a crusty wheat penny . Within 5 more minutes I had another wheat cent . Right next to that hole is where I pulled the 1929 mercury dime . My boy was screaming and hollering and I was in shock .
There is an old trash dump further up in the woods so my guess is someone lost them while going there or while out hunting .

Needless to say I am sure glad I listened to my son .

He has a Eurotek Pro but most of the time he prefers to walk with me as I use my CTX . I think he would hunt along side me for 12 hours straight if I could do it .
