OK guys and gals here is the situation.
I recently bought a surfmaster PI and when it arrived it didn't work. Contacted the seller and got a refund. Now I am stuck in making this decision. A Beachunter ID or a Tesoro sand shark or Tesoro Tiger shark. All are about in the same price range. I have never used a Tesoro or a water machine. I have a Whites land machine and I think it's great. I have only read good reviews on all three detectors. Any help or comments?
Also I only have fresh water near by that I would be hunting in, and as far as I know we don't have black sand. But I am taking a vacation this year and will be by the ocean and I plan to do some beach/water hunting. This vacation will be on the east coast.

By all means, the Tiger Shark will be your choice here. It is sensitive, has a salt water mode, changeable search coils, and a lifetime warranty. The Sand Shark is deeper, but you will be digging huge holes for tiny iron. I gave by Beach Hunter ID II to my brother in law which is a nudge.

I personally prefer the use on the Minelab Excalibur 1000, but it is more costly at first. They do pay for themselves lots faster though.
