At first glance laying there this didn’t look like much.

but after flipping it over, this workmanship was revealed.

I am sure there will be some skeptics, but this is the only edge that has a chip off it, and I?ve seen enough implement strikes to know that wasn?t the cause.
this was found same place as my most recent finds.

Looks like it fits the hand nicely too! I know I have noticed more things on the ground that I would have never given a second thought to. Found a fist sized smooth piece of granite where it had no business the other day. That park is all sand and clay and limestone. Makes me wonder how it ended up there and where it came from.

When you find a piece like Basalt and it is out of place from the normal surrounding rock it is always good to check it out. I run into the same experiences.

I think the piece was a little longer and more symmetric. But one end was broken off at some point.
