Big difference is the EU has Treasure Trove laws that basically says find it, the government gets to decide if you can keep it, or they pay you a % of the value determined by the government and it's there's, violate this and go to jail...

I was told that the piece the the bottom half of a clamp that holds the brake lever assembly to the handlebar of an English bike......made sense to me. And yes, I'm sure it is quality, however, they must have used Chinese bolts to hold it on or I would not have found this without the rest of the bike, !

Speaking of British detritus found on clean American soil, I found this British penny detecting. The reverse was in good condition but naturally the American soil destroyed the obverse, including the Queen Mum's face. Sorry Brits! :P

of course we took the island of Cuba and then lose it under attack by a handful of students and mestizo peasants!! ..... Lmao,you just beat me to the punch mate! Yup, the difference Tinpan is that Cooks ship actually made it to shore to plant a flag! That counts for a lot in the "discovery" books i believe?
