Most reg's know that john and i are regular "across the pond" antagonists. Our sense of barbed wired humour takes a lot of getting used to,but it's mostly all in fun.
Once again...I made a mistake using the word "hate" in the title of this thread,and it's caused a lot of off topic opinions and name calling. Sorry about that lol. Substitute the word "envy" for "hate"...and you'll get the real idea.

As for you johnboy?...Nobody needs either teeth or deoderant to dig up gold and goodies! So we'll keep digging them up and you yanks can do all the smiling for us, deal?

Maybe the members in the other sections of TNet aren't ready for our brand of conversation. By the way, you can send those US gold coins back to us anytime, you'd only waste them on crappy British cars and blood sausage or the other grotesques things you call food over there. America only rose to prominence BECAUSE Britain slipped out of "top dog" position! Pearl harbour came about because you started flexing your political muscles and you got a serious smack in the eye. This DID bring you rushing out of the kennel barking and puffing out your chest (for a change at that time), but only force of numbers (read: bodies for fodder) in both theaters pulled you through.
Eras and Empires change and die. Britains time was over, so we moved aside to let the new kids have a go. Do you think you've done well as "top dog"? Not easy is it mate?

since it was said that "hate" was the wrong word, more like envious------nah, I don't hate ya at all.

I don't care what you are detecting over there, I just find what is in my area. Envious, nope. What I find, I find. What you find, you find. No one can have it all in one area!

but I do like to see posts of different items unearthed that I can't find in my backyard. The word I would use is "interested", not envious.

It's taken me months to find this thread because this is not the section that we usually do our sparring in. The USA being top dog is just a side effect of our greatness. Yes we were unprepared to clean up Europe's mess both times we entered your wars. We were getting used to peaceful living when you europeans had to start acting up. No problem though, we enjoy saving your asses just to watch you stew in your own juices when you are forced to acknowledge our benevolence .

I used to go to a pub in Norwich called the Lord Roseberry when I went up there to see friends. Nice pub, good grub and great beer , Happy Christmas to you too mate

Big difference is the EU has Treasure Trove laws that basically says find it, the government gets to decide if you can keep it, or they pay you a % of the value determined by the government and it's there's, violate this and go to jail...
Nope don't envy them on that one bit, now add the TV tax, high gas tax (just why did you think gas cost over 5 bucks a gallon), high crime, anti gun AKA defend your self in an assault and go to jail, nope I am happy here thank you.
