Wickaboag's CRH Log

Hey All :hello:
Wicka here!
Just going to post a thread of my finds, (my log to be honest) I haven't found anything recently, but will be commenting every time I hunt with what I hunted and if I'm lucky, what I found! Just doing this so I am not always cluttering up the forums with small finds here and there. All are welcome to comment, but please do not cause grief on my thread, please don't "flame" or "hate" on my thread. Please be respectful to myself, and all others on this thread! Thank you for your interest in my finds.
If you wish to PM about anything please feel free to!

Thanks! You two! Do all banks have bags? Do they have to be ordered?

My dump bank uses a Coin Machine, so I asked if I could buy the bags (full ofcourse) from the machine. This is the only bank (around) that I know that has a machine. So hoping to just get the most out of it. Going to start doing as many bags as I can. They said I have to bring the coins back and throw back into machine, not another bag because they couldn't know if I shorted them or not. which kinda sucks. think I might just wrap them and dump huge amounts so I don't keep getting my coin back in Machines! Thinking I might throw some marks on a ton of coins. So I know which bags are mine and which aren't. I don't want to get my dumps back! XD
They said the bags fill up daily, it's in a town of about 15k-20k people and there is a walmart/mcdonalds/dunkins/ a ton of coin op places/ ect. ect and a ton of people bring huge amounts in! But noone CRH's :)
Looks like if people bring in old coin jars, I'mma be hitting collections!!! Hoping for that, thinking I might have hit a little one with the 4 buffies and 3 war nickels? I mean, unless it was a old coin jar... Noone really says "Hmm! Never seen this coin before (reads 1924 date) Let's just sell it for .05cents to a machine! WOO"
I mean, they do, that's what our hobby relies on but, you know what I mean. Hoping to really get some good scores before the years up! Want to search a ton of COIN. I mean, $25k+ Before years, up, I think that's not the worse thing I could do! That'd be 25 bags of dimes... which (hopefully) one would contain a ton :D

Not a bad start. My first find with my 150 was a nail! And I save all of my coppers (pre 1982).

I found the 2 pennies, and old er.. iron rod maybe, (small, 12 inches maybe) and a metal that looks like a old handle maybe, (rang up as "coin") >:(
And a toy airplane! XD

Thanks Dihren, tried her out today.
Got a wheatie first time out =)
Also a dog license tag in my yard from 1962.
Also went to the town beach, didn't find much so I had an idea! I said, I'll try in the area where people park, got a ton of pennies, few dimes, and a quarter. Someone approached me and said "I live on that hill there, I shoot my bow, and sometimes I can't find the arrows, they lodge themselves pretty well into the ground, each on you find I'll give you $5"
I said OFCOURSE
Made $20 >:) Also found ANOTHER dog license tag :) 1952
Then went home, had lunch, and went back out to the school playground, the older kids playground gave up a few pennies, some dimes, and 1 lonely quarter. :)
Then went to the little kids playground, started sprinkling and did a quick search, nothing great, just some more pennies, and another dime. =-) All adds up!
Taking the old girl out tomorrow, maybe will try some door knocking. Gunna finish the playgrounds, then do where the parents sit at the fields, and then gunna go to the football field, try the bleachers ect.
Happy Hunting all =)

Correction- no crh at banks. Take that bike to the party stores and ask for their "oddball" coins. You might surprise yourself.
