Just going to post a thread of my finds, (my log to be honest) I haven't found anything recently, but will be commenting every time I hunt with what I hunted and if I'm lucky, what I found! Just doing this so I am not always cluttering up the forums with small finds here and there. All are welcome to comment, but please do not cause grief on my thread, please don't "flame" or "hate" on my thread. Please be respectful to myself, and all others on this thread! Thank you for your interest in my finds.

MY RYEDALE IS HERE! MY RYEDALE IS HERE!
Time to open some new bank accounts to ramp up the volume once I'm back from Vacation!!!
Also, Next week I'm going to a few beaches in New England, I plan on hitting up some banks around them, going to ask for all halves and pennies ;-) I wonder the looks I will get.

Was metal detecting in cape cod today. The beach was packed so I didn't even hunt. Did a few swings. Some locals talked to me for 45 minutes or so. Like 4 or 5 swings later. Another 30 minute converation. I see a guy with a real saltwater metal detector. I talked to him for a hour or so. I left after that to go to another beach 4 miles away (walking) I walk by a bank I'dont have an account at. Walk in, look around confused. Walk to a teller. "Hi could I buy 10$ In pennies please" "sure let me take them out of a box in the vault"
"I'll take the box"
What do you do with all these pennies
Me: I make them into those flattened souvineer elongated pennies. ( first thing I thought of)
She laughed "defacing my precious pennies!"
Handed over the box and I left. Metal detector and box of pennies in hand on a 3.5 mile walk. Mile down the road. Another bank. I'm yucky and smelly because it's hot and I'm lugging around a box of coin already. So I ask for 10$ again. She looked at me confused "well, give me 10$!"
Another easy transaction! I need to build stock of copper pennies quickly so I convinced myself I had to get those. Did alright.
A 2 cent piece from Germany and 14 wheats. Oldest being 1929.
Good amount of copper. By looks it was about a 1 copper per 2-3 zincs.
I'm headin home tomorrow after fishing. Will try to get 100$ of pennies from my banks back home, I doubt such luck will come.
Can't wait to try my ryedale!

That's bag number three. Two nickels and 1 penny so far. About 3 more to go. Muahahahah

Going metal detecting at the beach forgot to bring cash for the banks! Going again tomorrow through Sunday so I should make out fine.
I'll let everyone know how I do, hoping to strike gold!
