10. My only gold of the year.

9. Near pristine 1853 Half dime. Actually found two of these at same site.

8. 1853 3 cent silver(trime).

7. Philip IV 1661? Cob. Ugly but probably my oldest coin to date

6. 1781 Half Real. Not my oldest Spanish but my first with a clear date

5. Monogram colonial silver cufflink/linked button. Found half dime(#9) the same day:). I think the other link in pic is very old too

4. 1837 Half Dime. My oldest US silver. Finished with only 41 silvers total but around 1/3 was Seated or earlier including the 4 Spanish. Found more Seated than Barbers once again this year. Found fewer mercs too I think

3. 1865 French 50 Centimes love token

2. Late 1600s two piece asymmetrical buckle.

1. Late 1600s Charles II Half Real Cob. Really a toss up between 1 and 2 but definately my best relic and best coin finds of the year

It's a great looking 10 that's for sure, congrats.

Amazing year! Congrats and keep it up in the new year!

Super finds, congratulations! :occasion14:

I hope 2018 is also great year for you!

Great year!
And I like the top ten countdown format....
I may steal it next year.:tongue3:

All 10 are incredible treasures! Seem like the older they are the more beautiful. That trime is definitely on my list for 18.

What a year, what a year!!!! Congrats on so many outstanding recoveries!
PS- Love the top ten format. Maybe that will catch on. Nice way to showcase the year.

Awesome top shelf recoveries! Some really special finds. Congrats!

More than a lifetime of awesome finds for most wrapped up in one post! Congrats to a great year!

Nice finds!!!!! Think I've seen a similar 1600's Charles II half real Cobb in an article a while back. Reminds me of a fish for some reason.

Found this cob a few feet from where I recovered a 1 real cob in 2015 and about 30 feet from my “banner find”. I think all three were dropped no later than about 1770 but possibly much earlier. The reverse of a Charles II half real cob had some or all of this image hammered into it as on mine

Wow, how do you even rate all of those great finds. I would have to throw them all in a pile and say "Here are all of my number 1 finds for the year". Excellent job.

Toasted,

Nice selection of finds you made during 2017. Thanks for taking the time to share.

A belated Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Regards + HH

Congrats on all those great finds Toasted. :occasion14: That Cob is a real treasure for sure. I need to swing my coil over one of those.

Fantastic finds there! Any idea how old the ring might be?
