I got an iPad air... no clue how to use it...

Last year, my daughter bought me a tablet. I use this when I am out detecting and want to verify property lines, or to pull up google maps. I am lucky that my employer provides me a smartphone that has been activated to provide me a hot spot where ever I am. I don;t use it much, but it's there when needed.

Yea, the whole thing with Tnet apps, and google earth, and maps, and documenting finds, and managing my coin collection, and etc, etc etc... is really intriguing to me... problem is, I am dumb with technology... I'll need to befriend a 19 year old college girl to help me. Just gotta see if its ok with my wife.

I got lots of clothes and a new pack for metal detecting with. And lots of good family fun so far.

I must of been bad, all I got was a notice from the FAA I have to register with them to fly my r/c airplanes.

Man, not even underwear and socks or even a lump of coal.

Merry Christmas all.

I received:

One new pair of knee pads

Three metal detecting books

And a GoPro Session 4, to be dedicated to the AtPro.

And finally, a dehydrator , so I can chew on Jerky while hunting.

Doesn't get any better!

Wish everyone has there best year in 2016!!

I got a double barrel rock tumbler to clean all my clad. Any suggestions on what to put in there to clean that stuff?

This is a quote from SoCalJim....it is the quickest for clean up of clad and easiest clean up for your tumbler!!

"Tumbling clad coins Lemon Juice only 30-45 Minutes ! "

"Apparently lots of folks are still using gravel and mixtures of dish soap, vinegar clr , and other mixes and running their tumblers for hours. Try the lemon juice alone ,enough to just cover your coins its available at the 99 cent stores. I read it on here some where and was very skeptical because I too ran my tumbler for hours. When I found enough beach coins to runa batch I gave it a try its amazing just the lemon juice alone I ran the clad then used the same juice for my pennies a few stubborn clad coins were still black(but plenty clean enough for spending or coin machines) but the majority were clean after 30 minutes . So who ever recommended it originally Thanks! it was inside another thread so I thought I'd pass along my results. Jim

P.S. I forgot the table salt I used Three tablespoons for about 4-5 ounces of lemon juice so thread should read Lemon juice and salt only
no I didn't take pics : ) "

One for me and one for the wife. Thanks to my dad in California!
