[/IMG]My boss called me up and said his daughter had lost her sterling silver ring while they were raking leaves and did I have my detector with me. I told him I did and I'd be right over as I was close by. When I got there he said she thought it slipped off her finger while they were bagging leaves. Seemed like a good place to start. There were two large bags and I started scanning the outside of the bags with no luck. I suggested we dump the leaves out and spread them out about four inches high. After we did that I started scanning again and got a broken signal. I moved some leaves around and saw a glint of silver and scooped up the ring! I asked them if I could post the story on treasurenet and they agreed. They both were happy and I got to be hero for a day! Good Hunting!
Great job. I think the boss owes you a paid day off to go detecting! Here in the wicked northeast, my fingers shrink in the cold and my ring actually fell off the other day. I never gave it much thought until I started detecting.
