Nice design on the spoon.

aluminum race plates,

Those shoes are sweet. I've dug many old relics but still not a single horse shoe yet which surprises me cause there were lots of horses used in my area way way back! :)

Wow thanks streakert! That gives my shoes some prestige. But wonder how they got to Etowah, Arkansas. Of course there is a race track down in Hot Springs.

You're better than me, I can't stand digging all those nails. Beside's as streakert pointed out to me, these are aluminum race plates. Thanks for looking K1DDO1979.

I'm presuming that they cover their steel shoes. Or am I wrong about that?

the shoes are solid aluminum with a steel toe grab inserted into the toe to aid in traction and excessive wear,

I like to listen to everything under the ground but I for sure don't dig everything I hear! Haha
I bet them aluminum shoes came in as a big, strong and clear high tone! :)

Yep, they sure did that.

At least now you have two matching "good luck" horse shoes to put one above your front door and one above your back door! Great finds and when I ever find one myself I'll let you know on this thread! :)

Never saw aluminum horse shoes before, learning something everyday in this hobby still even after 30 + years !
