Met a fellow MD'er on treasurenet yesterday and he took me to one his favorite sites.
Had a great day yesterday. Beautiful property. Found my first ever seated liberty coin/dime, and several other old coins.
Need help on id of a strange round object, that appears to be brass, and some type of brass buckle that has 1858 stamped on the back of it. The 1858 typeset looks similar to what you would see on a coin of this era.

1890 Seated Dime
1877 Seated Dime with rim damage, but nice details.
1896 Indian Head Penny (nicked with Lesche)
1883 V Nickel No Cents (nicked by Lesche)
1884 V Nickel
1858 Brass Buckle of some Sort (Need help ID)

Looks like a good hunt to me...

Nice work there! A seated is a good find any day of the week for me!

Congrats

Beautiful finds. I can see you had a super day! Congrats

WOW some nice oldies. I think you need to thank that man for taking you along, spots like that don't come along every day.

Thank you for sharing your hunt and those pictures with us

Very nice coin hunt! Congratulations.

Suspender buckle.

Very nice assortment of finds, and congrats on your first Seated. With the Lesche just need a little wider and deeper to avoid the Knicks.

great finds, maybe a little bigger plugs (if you are able to dig them) will help. sometimes it is what it is but still great finds, in fact for me it would be an awesome hunt. congrats

Very nice finds. Congrats on some really nice coins and relics! Two seated coins... dayum man! GL&HH.

Actually that is probably a vest buckle. The strap that goes across the back so you can tighten the vest.

They are commonly called suspender buckles and they could be ( see images) but they usually are vest buckles

A similar buckle was also used on some pants (Breeches buckle)

Congrats on some great finds!

That's a nice hunt!

I'm seated-less
Great hunt, congrats!

Nice finds and congratulations. I don't know who Lesche is but I wouldn't let him dig my coins any more. Just kidding. Wishing you continued success

Great finds. I hunt that property sometimes but had not been digging all the trash. Lol. Guess I will dig everything from here on out when I go there. Great job

Nice seated! The other coins are nice too. I have always understood those to be breeches buckles for tightening the waist of pants.
