Theres an old mill site the site opened in 1844. I found this glass and bottle pile about 1/4 mile down in the woods and dug some of the stuff out Im not sure if its worth getting more bottles or looking for more of these figurines even though they are broken?????????? Also that rusty metal thing looks like a wood shaver type thing Any help would be great. The ground was kinda a pink color so Im not sure what was in these bottles havent cleaned them yet there is some white liquid in one of them Thanks for looking hummel 020.JPG hummel 021.JPG hummel 022.JPG hummel 023.JPG hummel 026.JPG hummel 027.JPG hummel 028.JPG hummel 029.JPG

There should be a makers mark and /or a number on the plane, some are very collectable :occasion14:

cool little figurines but your bottle score is much later than 1840 period. All that I see are ABM made bottles from modern times like the 1950's maybe. If the figurines were found along with the bottles, then you are on a not so old dump site. Keep at it, the oldies are out there somewhere.

Just because a bottle is not old does not make it trash though. There are lots of folks who collect this era bottles, some of the soda and condiment bottles may even be worth some bucks so keep your eyes peeled for those. Remember, true value lies in the eyes of the beholder.

The hole, where you think may be a bottle opener, had a piece of wood for a handle, years ago. The wood has rotted away I imagine. Should clean up nice. tom
