Went searching for old stuff today, hoping for a coin, or whatever. I was looking for someplace new as all the old sites have quit producing for me.
I think I found a new spot that may produce for awhile.
It's really a tough place with a crazy amount of nails, bedsprings, rusty bits of cans and other junk, but the signs are there!
I was really happy to see so many prosser buttons on top as that indicates no one has looked there, at least for a while.
The broken spoon is silver.
The Great Seal button I believe is from the period of the Mexican-American war (correct me if I'm wrong, please).
That little oil lamp is the smallest I've ever seen!
The little shot-glass looking thing is was bottle labeled "Colgate & Co. Perfumers, New York" and the top had broke off perfectly smooth. (I gave it a light sanding for safety
)
Such a tiny buckle!
On the way out, at a site much younger, I spotted this 1938 Nesbitt's soda bottle with the top broken off, so I cut it off clean with my wet tile saw.
I'll definitely be going back to this spot! I'm sure once some of the iron trash is removed the coins will start showing up.
