OK, 20 minutes isn't a hunt; it's a jaunt. But I had to get outside after work (then drink beer, make dinner, talk to my wonderful wife, listen to the kids call with their issues, etc.). So, the only targets were a 1928 Buffalo nickel (not pictured) and the button below. Is it civilian? There's no writing on he button and it's teeny tiny; 9 mm diameter.

Good that you got out.
Congrats on the Button and the Buffalo.

Congratualtions on the very quick hunt!

Yes quite sure it's civilian, and probably dates with the nickel.

I agree, looks early 1900s. That Crown is one of the more convincing British looking Military style ones I have seen.

Thought it was civilian; probably a collar button. Is there a special name for the type of shank? Just trying to learn my buttons!

Probably, as it's one of the indications that its 20th C, but I don't know the name.
