Me and my buddy hit it pretty hard out on one of the oldest farms sites that I know. All that's left is a collapsed stone cellar hole. I found a really nice point while digging a target. I found an old rouge compact with the mirror still in tact, and several other relics but no coins. It was getting late so we moved to a different home site on the same property. My buddy found an indian head and I found my first good flat button (age?)

Nice collection of finds. Button is typical flat button fare. I'd say 1800-1850 or thereabouts given the generic back mark.

Works for me. Finding anything pre 1880 around here is considered rare, even if it's just a flat button.

Its circa 1820s

My name sake, great find, nice old stuff you found, congrats!

Congratualtions on the productive relic hunt!

Nice button! The site looks to have some early 1900's items, I think that clothing piece that is horseshoe shaped at one end is from a pair of dressier pants and it was one half of the waist band clasp...
