Medal found. But what is it?

Recently my girlfriend and I dug this medal in a farm field (former home site)
At first we were thinking maybe religious related. Research has only yielded an eBay photo (no helpful description). Anyone have an idea what it might be?
Same hunt she dug 3 wheaties. I believe she is beginning to get the hang of it!

yes, very early. Personally, I'd date it around 1910-1915. Very cool find!
