Top Treasure Finds

Hello all treasure freaks this is the one we have waited for. The one I gave a little teaser trailer on with the previous digs that I posted. This one took a bit to get it all together and all cleaned up after the fantastic dig that we had just unearthed. I suppose it all started a few years ago with the first pit that we had dug and discovered what a great hobby it was to actually dig up history. Several hundred pits later and we finally hit a privy that I think will go down as one of the best experiences I have had treasure hunting.

I have not posted here in a long time ! Many reasons but this find trumps it ! I thought you guys might like seeing the watch I found today . I was hunting at a very junky site I have hunted many times . I cleared two iron signals and still had a screwtop overload signal on top of the ground snug up against a little tree , I brushed away the duff up against the little tree and Gold was staring back at me. I'm still in absolute shock. I went out to place that I've been to dozens and have done really well. After digging a bunch of junk targets and a WWII button I decided to try the other side of the area where I've never had any luck. Previously I'd only dug trash targets out of there. The last 2 days has been great for me. I hit a hole that just keeps on giving. The first day was 2 gold rings 2 - 14k. Day 2 was 4 rings 2 - 14k, 1 - 10k, and 1 - 18k. The lighter is very old also. 1 buff & 1 Murc. But my best fine of the day was that 18k a whopping 14.6g. Hi All,

Went out for a short hunt with my kids today. Was using my new T2SE detector which I like a lot. About 15 minutes into the hunt got a decent signal and dug down to dig up the Batmobile, which was a real cool find. It was made by Corgi but don't know the year it was made so if anyone knows that would be cool to hear. Anyways after about a half hour of hunting I got a bouncing signal between 77 up to 95 on the machine. At about 7 inches out came the Half Dollar which was real sweet to find. Could'nt work out why this lump of coral (in 2 ft of water) at the beach kept "hitting"?

brought it home and it started to fall apart in my bag - WOW!!!

just need to identify them and work out how to save / clean them

Shaun7 is visiting tomorrow for a guest hunt. He hasn't been out for over half a year. I didn't want to raid my best option & I wanted to take a punt elsewhere, just incase it was a better option for us. I wanted us to have the best chance tomorrow.
It was another failed crop field & I decided to go deep into the field following the small areas that hadn't grown. Little did I know that this random path would take me over an object that I always hoped to find but thought I wouldn't. SS once gave me a tanged version to fill the gap but the type I found today is 1000 years earlier.

The beach I was hunting has a few main cuts open on it. Rest of it is pretty much sanded in. This day, 9 or more detectorists were hitting the cut hard. A lot of them were crawling on top of each other. Most seemed friendly. But, I figured the area had been worked out. Lots of different machines out there so it had probably been cleared out...

First dig of the season, was quite nice at about 50 F.

Got a copper pretty quick, about an hour later I got a small silver, too much mud on it to know exactly what it was. Later in a mud puddle I discovered it to be a New Brunswick 10 cent silver. Not right up on the prices I did know it was a scarce coin, and I did notice it had a doubled "2" in the date "1862 BTW"

So, when home I look it up, a lot better than I thought.

Probably my best first day. Even the crotal bell is a first with the makers initials...S. I. or I. S. anyone ?
